Basic Game Rules

There are 4 levels of Apes. Apes level 2 and above enjoy the benefit of “rev-share points”. These points are like your “share of the cake” where the cake size is the total number of points available at any time.

Let’s use the following example* for rev-share points:

Example

Imagine you have a baby ape that you can feed and make it stronger. The higher level your ape is, the more points you get according the table above. You can use these points to earn your rewards from the rev-sharing pool of VAFi.

Assume that you are the only one who has a baby ape on the first day, you feed it and make it stronger, and you get 2 points. The pool has 2 dollars in it. Since you are the only one with points, you get all the rewards. You have 2 out of 2 dollars, which is 100%.

On the second day, someone else gets a baby ape too. They feed it and make it stronger, and they also get 2 points. The pool has 4 dollars in it now. Since you both have the same number of points, you have to share the rewards equally. You have 2 out of 4 dollars, which is 50%.

The pool and the number of points can change every day, depending on how many people have apes and how strong they are. Sometimes you can get more rewards, and sometimes you can get less rewards. It depends on how well you take care of your ape and what other people do with theirs.

Rule of Thumb

1. The more Apes you collect and the more you play with them on the platform - the more rev-share points you earn.

2. The more you level up your Apes – the better. But don’t rush to upgrade them as soon as possible. Sometimes it might be wise to wait for more $BANANA. You know, patience is a virtue, even for Apes!

3. Snapshots will be taken every 24h. That means you have 24h to upgrade your Ape and boost your rev-share rewards before the next snapshot.

4. After a while, Apes of different levels may have different prices on the open market. By upgrading your Ape, you’re not only increasing your rewards, but you’re also investing in a potentially more valuable asset. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone, or two bananas with one peel 🍌
